It's so nice to meet you! Are you here because you'd like some whimsy? Maybe a home good that's very silly but you feel deeply connected to for no particular reason at all? I hope so! You're who I'm here to see!
I have spent my 20s, as many of us do, moving around. Each place I've moved has offered the opportunity to make a new space home for myself, my partner, and our little dog too.

Along the way I have collected many treasured goods from local artists and friends. I've also collected a good bit of junk that doesn't really suit my style. But in each place I've lived I've set out to cultivate the kind of quirky house that your coolest art teacher might have had, and now I'm getting down to business.
Do you know this art teacher's house? It's not cluttered, but it is full of treasures. The treasures are not something you could find on Amazon or Temu because they weren't made like that, and they weren't collected like that either. They were collected slowly and intentionally over time, culminating in an incredibly personalized, if eclectic, space. It's soooo cool.
And I want to start to do that for my home and yours.

Most of my work is functional, but not in the way ceramics normally are. I'll be making mugs, but also drawer pulls, switch covers, and coat hangers that scratch the itch of personal style I've been seeking in every place I've ever lived. Many of these will be renter-friendly! And I hope they speak to you as you cultivate a style of your own. Because I truly believe that an eclectic home isn't chaos, it’s evidence of a rich, well-lived life.
Follow along if that sounds like something you're in for! I'll be sharing my own work, and work I have collected from others over the years, here and on Instagram (@shortwalkworkshop) until we all have the art teacher homes of our dreams.
